    What You Will Be Doing

    Hotwire Communications is seeking a PHP developer with 5+ years of design and development experience to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Candidate will be joining the existing team and be responsible for the design and development of new and existing PHP software implementations.

     

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

     

    Develop and maintain dynamic web applications and web services (APIs) using PHP 5.4+

    Maintain and extend existing legacy systems

    Develop database objects to interact with front and middle tier applications

    Database management Primarily MySQL, but also MSSQL and Oracle

    Conform to coding standards using industry best practices

    Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements

    Document requirement and design specifications

    Perform quality control on deliverables

    Coordinate with development team and other

    What You Need to Bring

    Qualifications/Requirements:

     

    Experience in PHP (5.4+), MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript (jQuery), AJAX, XML

    Proficient building database objects including views, procedures, functions, schema and data migrations

    Understanding of MVC frameworks like Laravel , CodeIgniter, Symfony2

    Experience with UI/UX responsive HTML Design (Bootstrap)
    Strong GIT workflow skills – distributed version control

    Experience with SOAP and RESTful API programming - both consuming and publishing

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

    Familiarity with command line instructions using Linux

    Ability to complete projects with strict deadlines

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Bachelor degree in information systems or equivalent
