    What You Will Be Doing

    As a Technology Concierge Apprentice, you will be responsible for consulting & installing Hotwire Communication’s suite of technology services, including Fision IPTV, Internet, Phone, Security, and our new line of Home Automation products. The incumbent will additionally work with the residential building management staff to assure success in all areas of our activation process for his assigned community. The position is a unique blend of sales, client management on top of the technical experience installing and setting up of connected devices. The Technology Concierge Apprentice will report directly to a more highly skilled Technology Concierge to expand their skills in the home automation space.

    If you are passionate about technology and home automation with a proven ability to perform technical functions while consulting with customers on selection of smart home technology as well as patiently training the customer on the use of installed services, you might just be the person we are looking for!

    A Day in the Life:

    • Start your day off by arriving at your assigned residential community, where you will serve as a Concierge dedicated to serving all Technological functions related to Hotwire.
    • Get together with the building’s Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager and Building Engineer, to name a few, to make sure they know what your day looks like, and assure you know their expectations early in the day. These folks are like an extension of your Hotwire colleagues so establishing a good relationship is critical to the success of the Technology Concierges role.
    • You see something that needs improvement at the community? Let’s do it! The Technology Concierge is empowered to perform most functions on its own, while backed by the Technology Concierge Groups software tools, personnel, and extended team resources to get the job done efficiently using Hotwire’s latest and greatest practices.
    • After lunch, maybe you’ll head on over to one of your colleagues assigned residential communities to lend a hand with a complex installation that includes the full suite of Hotwire’s products such as Fision Gigabit Internet, Wi-Fi network, Smart Bulbs, and more! All while chatting about what it took to consult on such a complex sale.
    • The team only gets stronger at our team meetings where your feedback from the field can have a big impact on the improvement of our internal teams.
    • To finish your day, by using our internal systems, close out your jobs, follow-up with any customers you owe a follow-up call to, and make sure the next day is planned out efficiently to make the most of your day. You might even want to have dinner with a customer.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Consult with client during initial inquiry or installation on Hotwire’s suite of products.
    • Perform comprehensive, onsite residential technology equipment consultations & installations for our clients, including Fision’s Fiber-based IPTV, Internet, Phone, and consumer-grade home-automation systems.
    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships by ensuring timely responses to all inquiries for service needs.
    • Phone and in-person contact with customers to make recommendations on Hotwire’s Services.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and daily health checks for all systems and components, including but not limited to IDFs, MDFs. Correct problems identified and escalate high severity and chronic issues to appropriate teams
    • Perform quality checks on Fiber and/or Ethernet home-runs while the community is still under construction.
    • Review Client feedback and escalations. Addresses opportunities through direct communication with customers.
    • Provide complete System Certification and train end-user on complete system operation
    • Troubleshoot and make timely decisions in order to provide clients with immediate solutions without any downtime
    • Must be able to mount TV's, speakers, and other equipment securely to walls / ceilings and must have some experience running cables in walls & through conduits
    • Travel to assigned clients as part of the Technology Concierge role is required
    • Participates in developmental training, certifications, and increased proficiencies of team.
    • Responsibly manage on site inventory.
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    What You Need to Bring

    • Prior Professional A/V Installation Experience preferred
    • Broad Knowledge of all A/V Technology Considerations
    • Excellent Technical Troubleshooting and Issue Diagnostic Skills
    • Excellent in Customer Service, Sales experience is preferred
    • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
    • Ability to Set Priorities
    • Associates Degree or Higher in Electronics
    • A+ Computer Skills
    • Excellent Organizational Skills
    • Ability to Interact/Support Executive Level Leadership
    • Clean Driving Record
    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
