    What You Will Be Doing

    Purpose:

    The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for Planning, Implementation, and daily tracking of multiple Projects (Focus on Voice Engineering Projects) inside Hotwire’s Engineering department to ensure predictable and on time  business results. The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible to define and track complex Engineering projects, often involving Multiple Department. The Engineering Project Manager will also champion and enforce change management discipline, generate and maintain Project Documentation and provide weekly and monthly KPI reports about engineering project Status.

     

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

    • Successfully and effectively manage all Phases of a Project from Initiation to Closing.
    • Coordinate Multiple project timelines and project Resources across Departments.
    • Create and Maintain standard Project Documentation and Deliverables including accurate Meeting Minutes.
    • Hold Weekly status Meetings and update Project Tracking Documents
    • Generate Weekly and Monthly Engineering Projects Reports and network performance KPI tracking.
    • Vendor Support Contract Management.
    • Participate in Vendor equipment selection and RFPs

     

    What You Need to Bring

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
    • Engineering Background
    • 5 years of experience in Project Management for IP service providers, preferably related to IPTV, IP Video or DOCSIS projects with demonstrated success in project management roles.
    • Experienced in PMbok Standards and Processes (PMP certification Required)
    • Strong MS Office skillset including MS Project.
    • Advanced Excel Skills (including pivot tables), JIRA, MS Visio, Solar winds, AutoCAD etc.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

    Preferred:

    • Data analysis experience
    • Experience managing Projects involving IP telephone systems with various vendors such as Broadsoft, Nokia, GenBand, Metaswitch , etc.
    • Experience managing Projects involving IVR and VCC systems such as Five9.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure,
    • Strong documentation authoring.

    Non-Technical Key Competencies

    • Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress
    • Align project objectives with company goals, and make sure project team is clear on objectives
    • Chair weekly discussion with all stakeholder
    • Manage risk tracking process
    • Monitor and manage scope as well as all project documentation
    • Work multiple projects simultaneously
    • Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors 

    Technical Competencies

    • Ability to follow and enhance existing IT policies and procedure
    • Basic understanding of the TCP/IP suite
    • Basic understanding of IP Based Voice systems and Softswitches.
    • Must be able to interact with management, vendors and external parties and should be able to effectively communicate technical issues in a clear and concise manner
